Course Description
Respirator wearers are made knowledgeable of the following:
- Why the respirator is necessary and how improper fit, usage, or storage can compromise the protective effect of the respirator
- What the limitations and capabilities of the respirator are
- Cartridge change schedules and End-of-Service-Life Indicators (ESLI)
- What actions to take if the respirator malfunctions while in use
- How to inspect, don and doff, use, and conduct user seal check
- What the requirements are for maintenance and storage of the respirator
- How to recognize medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent the effective use of respirators
