Bloodborne Pathogens
This course provides essential training on the risks, prevention, and response procedures related to occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, including hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Participants will gain an understanding of exposure routes, standard precautions, and best practices for handling potentially infectious materials in the workplace. The course is designed to meet the requirements of OSHAs Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) and includes guidance on exposure control plans, personal protective equipment (PPE), and incident reporting.
Course Description
After completing this training, the participant will be able to discuss the incidence symptoms, and mode of transmission of microorganisms, including viruses such as Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), which may cause infectious diseases.
