Lead Worker

Training covers the following elements:

• General discussion of work activities that could result in exposure to heavy metals above action levels
• Written compliance plan and other work control documentation (i.e., job instructions, etc.,) applicable to work activities they are performing
• Engineering controls, administrative controls, and safe work practices associated with the worker’s job assignment
• Purpose and description of the associated medical surveillance program
• Instructions to employees that chelating agents should not routinely be used to remove lead from their bodies and should not be used at all except under the direction of a licensed physician (when applicable)
• Respiratory protection requirements
