Inorganic Arsenic Worker Training

At the completion of this module, the participant will have an awareness of health hazards associated with inorganic arsenic exposure and the controls (e.g. engineering, administrative, and personnel protective equipment) necessary to work in areas where there is a potential for inorganic arsenic levels to exceed permissible limits.

Course Description

Training covers the following elements:

  • General discussion of work activities that could result in exposure to heavy metals above action levels
  • Written compliance plan and other work control documentation (i.e., job instructions, etc.,) applicable to work activities they are performing
  • Engineering controls, administrative controls, and safe work practices associated with the worker’s job assignment

At the completion of this module, the participant will have an awareness of health hazards associated with inorganic arsenic exposure and the controls (e.g. engineering, administrative, and personnel protective equipment) necessary to work in areas where there is a potential for inorganic arsenic levels to exceed permissible limits.
Intended Audience:
Identified Inorganic Workers who meet criteria established in OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1118/29 CFR 1910.1018, Workers Required by Form-3061, Industrial Hygiene Work Permit (IHWP), and/or Exposure Control Plan (ECP)
